Why May is the Best Month of the Year
May is full of excitement for so many things. The flowers are in full bloom and Stephanie jets from place to place trying to record their beauty before the heat of summer fades the landscape. The kids in our lives are getting antsy and excited for the change of school year and their fast approaching freedom. (Which makes us antsy!) Spring cleaning is underway in many homes as we let go of the old and make space for the new.
But our very favorite part of May is our annual giveaway. We know how powerful it can be to see the transformation of new art on your walls and all month long we accept submissions for the giveaway. In return we send back a virtual preview of your room with one of our pieces of art on the wall, selected by our skilled art and design consultants to match your space perfectly. It is so life-like it is hard to know what is really there and what is not!
We love doing this in person, in the gallery and on virtual consultations, but May is when we open the floodgates and render up fresh previews daily with the additional perk of being entered to win $1000 in Latitudes artwork. What?! I know. The preview is cool enough, but to have a chance to make it real too? Well that's just icing on the cake.
My favorite part of this process is going live and explaining how I deal with various room scenarios. The ones that stump our customers the most. Like two story rooms, TV walls, art over beds, sloped ceilings, mantles, stairwells... oh my! I would like to say my love for Makeover May is entirely unselfish... but it's not. There is an entire body exhale that happens when I place the perfect piece of art on someone's wall and the entire room falls into place. And then I get to see that happen for them too... oh bliss. I have gotten so good at body reading that I can place images on the wall of people's rooms and know by the sounds they make and their expressions if it its a win, even before they know!
Makeover May is a non-stop fun fest for my design brain and month long excitement and anticipation for y-o-u. What's not to love about May? Well, unless you don't enter. No fun for you!
