3 Tips for Gifting Artwork- (and getting it right!)
Giving art gifts can be challenging. But not to worry, We have a few tips that will help you give art that's sure to be a hit.
#1 Size
Does the person you are giving to, have a lot of wall space to fill? Maybe they only have a shelf or table top for art to occupy. Think of your art sizing in the following categories.
Large Wall Art
For those with sad, empty walls. If you know what wall they need art on, great! Match the shape of the wall left over above the furniture. If not, go for the magic chameleon size, 60"x30". (perfect over a bed, sofa or table)
Shelf or Table Top
Best for those without wall space. So many options from coasters, to 10x10 wood, to 5x7 acrylic blocks.
Fill-in
This is the size that works just about anywhere in any house on any wall. It won't be hard to find a place for it, it will play nicely with the other art, and it's big enough not to get lost on the wall. The 30"x20" is juuuust right for smaller spaces.
#2 Material
Match the material to their style. Are they minimal and modern? Go metal or acrylic. Are they earthy or into textural vibes? Go wood. For everyone else, go canvas! It's the perfect middle ground working well in any home decor style.
#4 Color
Do they have favorite colors they wear or decorate their home in? Choose images with those colors since you already know they like them. Not sure? Blue is the most popular color across the board. So images that lean heavier in blues are easy winners.
You can also select an image that is evenly balanced in colors, so they work with any decor. My favorite neutral images are Sunlit Pier, Seaside Sunset, and Promenade Palms. They have a little bit of everything.
#3 Image
If you don't already know the image they want, and you have to make a guess, the best bet is going with what the most people chose as their favorites. These are the tried and true best sellers that make everyone happy. Find them here.
